The american based multinational company Google removed the trending viral app called REMOVE CHINA APPS from the playstore today (3rd June 2020). Despite being only a week aged app it has 50 lakh downloads in just two weeks of its launch.This is the second viral app to be removed from the playstore . If you are wondering about the first app, which is a Tik-Tok clone app called MITRON because of some of the privacy issues this app has been pulled off.

News you should know:

  • According to the news said by Google to Gadgets 360 the app was violating its policy. Google also says that it does not allow "apps that mislead users into removing or disabling third-party apps or modifying device settings or features."
  • While the developer claimed that it was developed only for "Educational Purposes". But this app literally spreads anti-chinese sentiment in the country. 
  • This app is launched only for android and it had been able to detect the chinese apps like TikTok,Shareit,UC Browser and Camscanner . But it did not detect the pre-installed chinese apps from the manufacturer.
Working of the app :

On opening the app , it shows scan now button , once you hit the button it will detect the apps and shows the apps which are of Chinese origin. When you hit the clear button it will delete the selected apps.

Hey , don't worry!! if you just want to install the app , don't forget that for android there are always Apk files , which you can surf in the internet . But the privacy should be quite
concerned.

  • After a huge fall of ratings from 4.5 to only just 1.2 Tik-Tok gained its ratings with the help of Google , the company nearly deleted 20 lakh ratings from the playstore, which was intentionally meant to down the ratings of the Chinese app Tik-Tok. But a major question from the audience is that "How a company can delete its customer ratings without the permission of the publisher? ".
  • While a few weeks ago, the clash between the Youtubers and Tik -Tokers got intensed. The people supporting Youtubers got angry on the other side (Tik-Tokers) and started to abandon the chinese app.
  • Some of the people wanted to find an alternative app for Tik-Tok , on that time the MITRON had the perfect debut and entered into the Trending apps bucket. This MITRON app is also launched by a Indian, so some hit the download icon only for that reason alone.
  • Despite the app is launched by a Indian ,some rumors suggests that the app was not originally coded by himself and he bought the app from Freelancer and  it had several important privacy issues. 
  • After seeing these issues Google finally removed the app from playstore which gave a tough clash to the Chinese app.

OnePlus is set to launch its new mid-range smartphone "OnePlus Nord".  The Co-founder of OnePlus, Carl Pei confirmed that the OnePlus Nord will not be launched in the U.S market. Nvidia launched it's new RTX 30 series GPUs.

These cards are built based on the Ampere architecture while the former RTX cards are based on the Turing architecture.
