Gmail App is soon to be completely redesigned.

Earlier weeks ago, Google added the Chat and Meet option in the Gmail's web version. Now google is working on its Gmail app compatible for doing everything from the same screen under the title "New home for work".Today Google Cloud started it's digital version called Cloud Next'20, which is an online event that runs for around nine weeks.

In spite of this lockdown period, to support the workflow the company just added the Meet option and now google is trying to "Chat" and "Rooms" option in the app. These new features are to be added in the bottom bar tabs and making the navigation ease of access.

Last month Google brought the "Chat" feature to Gmail. But it is only brought on the web for supporting G-Suite customers. This addition makes sense and now it might replace the company owned Hangouts, thus making the messaging process more easier and supporting Rooms in the fullscreen. These Rooms are seem to challenging with the other chat room designing companies.

Soon Google will allow the users simultaneously, to access the full Google Docs file open and still an ongoing conversations appearing in the left. This feature will be available for Rooms when viewed in the Gmail web app. The "Files" and the "Tasks" buttons will also be positioned near the Chats. In addition to these features users can also use video calls in picture-in-picture mode. The company also announced some updates for Google Meet app, like Q&A's, attendance managing and raising hands - this feature is already available in Zoom.

There are no doubts that Google is working to integrating the things better, but the question is whether these updates will really matter or just overload the Gmail. Let's see in the future.
