Asus TUF Dash F15 (FX516P) is a mid range gaming laptop. Originally the device is spotted by Videocardz.This is an updated version of the Tuf series. From the image we can clearly see that the Asus has clearly revamped the designed and it's kinda closely looking to it's Zephyrus lineup. The presence of the front camera is also not clear. Now it's becoming a trend among the laptop manufacturers to cut-down the camera in the gaming laptops. Surprisingly we also have a front firing speakers, which is an unusual thing in this budget but kudos to Asus.

SPECIFICATIONS 

The Tuf series is a point of attraction for many people, because of it's good price to performance ratio. Internally this device might be packed with Intel's Tigerlake -H35 CPUs in three versions : Core i5- 11300H, Core i7- 11370H (clocked at 3.3 - 4.8 GHz) and Core i7- 11375H (clocked at 3.3 - 5 GHz). It is quite surprising that Asus has omitted the AMD's 50 series CPUs which offers a better performance than this Intel's Tigerlake CPUs. Coming over to the graphics department this device will be available in two variants Nvidia RTX 3060 with 6GB of Ram and Nvidia RTX 3070 with 8GB of Ram. If you are wondering, when Nvidia launched the 30 series mobile GPUs ? The answer is Nvidia will unveil their brand new 30 series mobile graphic cards in the upcoming CES 2021. We are eagerly waiting how this RTX 3060 handles the modern triple A title games.

Coming over to the most anticipated part, the display. It is an 15.6 inch display and to available in three variants: 144Hz and 240Hz refresh rate panels will be embedded in a FHD+ display and a higher resolution QHD display will come with 165Hz refresh rate. Yes, you heard it right for the first time we are going to see a higher resolution displays in this budget. It is also to be noted that, the 144Hz panel offers only 62% sRGB color gamut ( present in the Tuf A15).

The Asus Tuf Dash F15 might come with 8GB or 16GB of ram and can be expandable upto 32GB. A 76 Whr battery is a mediocre one and the device might weigh around 2 Kgs.

PRICING & AVAILABILITY

As far as now, we don't know anything about the pricing details and the availability of the device. It is expected that Asus will reveal the details in the upcoming CES 2021. We will update the pricing and availability details in the future. The details listed here are only based on the leaks and we are yet to confirm it once Asus announces officially. Asus has also teased the device in their official twitter handle.

This Tuf series offers a very good value especially in the entry level budget. But the last generation had some issues in the thermal performance and the display quality is very bad and the colors were also washed out. If Asus fix these things and nailed at pricing, it is damn sure that the TUF series will be the gamers magnet.

Nvidia launched it's new RTX 30 series GPUs.

Courtesy: Nvidia Last Tuesday Nvidia launched it's next generation 30 series RTX graphic cards. The company launched the cards in three variants RTX 3070, RTX 3080, RTX 3090 . These cards are built based on the Ampere architecture while the former RTX cards are based on the Turing architecture. Nvidia also claims that these cards offer 2X  power than the previous generation cards.
