REDMI G GAMING LAPTOP :

Today Redmi launched the gaming notebook Redmi G Gaming Laptop in China. This is the first ever Gaming series laptop which comes under the Redmi branding. Previously the company launched Redmibook 14 & Redmibook 16 and MI NOTEBOOK 14 light weight notebooks which are very power efficient and ultra portable. This gaming series laptop comes in three variants based on the Processor and the Graphics Card.

DISPLAY :

This laptop looks neat and Redmi brings a Boxy design which seems to be very attractive and gives good aesthetics. It almost looks identical to the Lenovo's Legion gaming laptops. The Redmi G Gaming laptop has 16.1" FHD (1920 x 1080) IPS LCD Panel with 81% screen to body ratio. It also has 178 degrees of viewing angle and it can upto peak brightness of 300 nits. The middle and the top end models have 144 Hz Refresh rate , while the base model has only 60 Hz refresh rate. The bezels in the top and sides is minimal but in the bottom it carries a thick bezel with Redmi branding.

PROCESSOR :

The Base Variant carries Intel's 10th gen i5-10200H Processor with base frequency of 2.4GHz and the max frequency of 4.1GHz. This model has NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 GPU for gaming.

The Middle Variant comes with Intel's 10th gen i5-10300H Processor. This has the base frequency of 2.5GHz and can go up to boost frequency of 5.1GHz. It has the higher NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 Ti GPU.

While the Top end model has the powerful Intel's 10th gen i7-10750H Processor. It has 12 Thread Hexa-Core processor while the other models only have 8-Thread Quad core processor. The Base frequency is 2.6GHz and the boost clock frequency is 5GHz. It also has the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 Ti for the graphical intensive works.

OTHER FEATURES OF REDMI G :

The laptop comes with 16GB (2 x 8 GB) 2933MHz DDR4 RAM coupled with 512 GB SSD storage onboard. The gaming beauty is powered by a 55Whr battery and it also supports charging at 180 Watts. This laptop can also charge a phone at 15W via the Type C port.

It has a 720P webcam at the bottom bezel. The Keyboard is backlit with 1.5mm keystroke. Nowadays most of the laptops sports a very little trackpad but that's not in this case. We get a bigger trackpad. As far as the connectivity the laptop incorporates Wifi 6, Bluetooth 5.1 and the for the ports it has 2 x USB 3.2 Gen 2, 1 x USB 2.0, 1 x USB Type C , 1 Mini DP 1.4, 1 x HDMI 2.0 , A Gigabit Ethernet port, 3.5mm headphone jack and power input port.
